Those are some of the comments we hear from our clients on a daily basis. In a typical week, our therapists may encounter thirty or more different life struggles. Some of the issues we see are: depression, anxiety, anger, grief, fear, post-traumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, poor interpersonal relations, attention-deficit disorder, substance abuse as well as the disconnection of families that results from separation or divorce. (See descriptSions of other issues by clicking here.) A broad range of skills and experience are essential to meeting the variety of needs. Our team of professional therapists brings a combined tenure of over thirty years experience to bear on the issues that inhibit strong, healthy mental health.
Children and adolescents present their own set of mental health issues seen as unhealthy behavior of different kinds like: eating disorders, anger and violence, depression, cutting, threats of suicide, inappropriate sexual behavior, inability to concentrate and many others. It is important in selecting therapists to know that they have a broad range of training and are experienced in a wide range of therapeutic tools to help you.
Whatever the age or marital status, our process begins with a thorough assessment of the issues or problems being experienced and how they affect mental health. This assessment will vary according to the therapist’s evaluation and may consist of interview, written response instruments, or an electroencephlographic scan to determine if there might be a brain function disorder.
After the assessment is completed, the therapist will be able to discuss a plan for your treatment and to help you set goals for attaining the happiness and health you deserve.
Our goal will always be to see you restored to a productive and enjoyable life.
