My Job As Your Counselor
In our society we face many challenges and obstacles that create stress and chaos in our personal lives. As a therapist I believe that we all need help with life’s struggles, whether they are in our jobs, our relationships or our families. My goal is to nurture your personal growth, and assist you with the tools you will need to handle these challenges in a positive and successful manor.
I believe a healthy relationship requires trust, love and a mutual respect. It is my job to help you cultivate that foundation and strengthen your relationships. In hard times, my job as a therapist is not to find fault, rather it is to lead partners down a path of self discovery that leads to healing and forgiveness.
I believe children have an inherent tendency to behave in ways that are productive to themselves and comfortable for those around them. Usually when young people exhibit behavior that is self-destructive or detrimental to the harmony in the home or classroom, factors in their environment have pushed them away from doing what is best for them. These factors may be the memory of an event from the past, or an experience they are dealing with in their daily lives. Many times the child knows what is wrong but has been unable or afraid to say it. My job as a therapist is to gain their confidence that I am a person who can be trusted, and that they are in a safe environment for exploring their feelings.
I pledge my professional experience and my heartfelt concern to helping you build lasting relationships, and to finding the happiness in your home that you deserve.
